Today’s program features insights from Reverend Father Guy Gilbert, who has been known as one of the prominent advocates for the pro-life stance from a very early stage, since 1988, in France. With his compassionate heart, he is committed to supporting youth who have experienced severe challenges in life. In purchasing a farm and turning it into a foster home called “Bergerie de Faucon,” Father Guy Gilbert has created a safe space for healing and growth. A lover of animal-people, Father Guy also brought various animal companions to the farm, believing that animal-people not only provide love but also teach us how to love – a lesson that is especially important for the young people in his care.

As a Canon and Roman Catholic priest, Father Guy Gilbert holds a profound faith in God and Hiers creation, so he constantly reminds people of the sacredness of life. “320,000 abortions a year in France, it’s incredible! We don’t have the right. All life is sacred to God, and we don’t have the right to take away a life that’s about to be born. And we don’t have the right to offend God by killing life.”

An additional essential point that Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan) has highlighted is how the killing of innocent unborn babies affects our world. “Any killing harms our planet, harms the safety of the world. Any killing of innocents, especially babies in the womb, even it’s yours but it’s God-given. So any killing like that would bring disaster to our world, to everybody. So, it is good, that, to remind people not to do any killing of the innocents.

[…] I think it’s better not to abort any fetus. They’re innocent. They are new citizens, we should welcome them with warmth and love, and take care. And if you could not take care and you, by the way, happen to be pregnant, you can give birth and give it to someone else who’d love to have a child and cannot have. Then that makes two people happy, the baby and the new family. And makes yourself also happy because your conscience agrees with that and blesses you.”

Reverend Father Gilbert shares his heartfelt belief in the importance of respecting every child, emphasizes love’s role in protecting the most vulnerable, and calls for deep respect for life in all societies. He also encourages countries around the world to stop legalizing and supporting abortion. “We should be loving children enormously. From first to last. Love them completely. Like a treasure, like God’s Presence among us. And if we have this conception, we won’t kill.” “Unfortunately, it’s being done (allowing abortion) in many countries. We need to help every country in the world to respect life to the end. Explain that life is life, and that life is sacred and cannot be destroyed. Explain that life with children is something wonderful that God has given us, and that it’s impossible to destroy this life. Countries need to understand this.”
